Requirements

The following things are required to run this script:

Installation

1. Upload the ZIP via the wordpress backend

  • Log into your website backend /wp-admin/
  • Go to Themes -> Add New -> Uploade Theme
  • Select the ZIP file and upload it
  • Active it!
  • After this install the required plugins

2. Upload it via FTP

  • Log into your webserver via FTP
  • Unzip the file on your PC
  • Upload the extracted folder to /wp-content/themes/
  • Go into your backend and activate the Theme
  • Active it!
  • After this install the required plugins

Demo Installation

The Demo files are stored in the "demo" folder.
The next steps describe how to install the "italia" demo content.

  1. Login into your website backend /wp-admin/
  2. Make sure you have installed the Wordpress Importer Plugin
  3. Go to Tools -> Import Data -> Select the italia.xml and start import
  4. The Demo Content (posts, pages, media, contact forms) are installed
  5. Open the italia.json file and copy all the content
  6. Now go into Theme settings -> Import / Export
  7. Click "Import from File" and paste the before copied
  8. Click Import and you are done

Where can I find the theme settings?

You can find the everything inside your Admin Panel -> Theme Settings


General Settings

In the General settings are you have the following options:

  • Tracking Code:
    Paste your Google Analytics javascript or any other tracking code here. This code will be added before the closing HEAD-Tag.

Tutorials

How the Theme is structure

Please see the image below about each dynamic content element of the theme. These can be activated / disabled and styled all indivudually. Each of these Elements exists of an Outer Container and Inner Container. You can set the Outer container to Full Width to style the background for example and keep the inner elements, like Text, images in a normal container for better readability.


How to setup a Contact Form

First install Contact Form 7 Plugin. Then create new contact form there, see examples below. You also have to make sure that the fields will be sent to your Address, so go ahead inside the config of the contact form. You can learn more about CF7 here.

How to setup the Home Page with a transparent Nav

First create a new page from your backend. Then use the visual composer to layout your elements. When you are done, you have to set the individual Page options. Scroll a bit down and you will see the Menu "DB Options". Here you can set the transparent nav to yes, hide the sidebar and hide the header. Then click on publish / update and you are done. Go to settings -> reading and set your Front page to the last created page.
